Love was in the air last Sturday on the RichLife Show! Small wonder since Valentine's Day is right around the corner! I came up with a definition of love that ties in perfectly with Brad's RichLife Story, so here it is:
Leaving Others Valuable Experiences
When you really think about it, this concept is HUGE! It can be applied to your personal life as well as to how you conduct business!! Brad was doing this with his kids. Imagine what would happen if we did this with our clients! Brad is creating experiences with his kids that they are going to treasure forever! If something should happen to him tomorrow God forbid, his children will always have access to those treasured memories for as long as they live! This is the kind of thing that creates VALUE which will last forever.
Leaving Others Valuable Experiences
If you make a conscious decision to this with your kids, your spouse, your clients, your co-workers, how would that change your life? What kind of an impact do you think that would have on their lives? How would your life change if your focus shifted to "How am I going to LOVE these people who are part of my life?"
Keep in mind, I am not talking about that touchy-feely kind of "love" which can be perceived as creepy and get you into trouble. What I am referring to is; your focus is on the intention of interaction — ask yourself this question — "What can I do to leave a valuable experience with this person?"
Making this shift in intention can have a profound impact on every aspect of life, and business as well! When you leave someone with a valuable experience it's memorable and you are memorable! The key here is that you are not focused on the "quid pro quo"! By quid pro quo, I mean that you are not focused on "is this fair?" or "are they going to give me back as much as I gave them?" When you are able to leave that thought alone because you know your life is better because you CHOOSE to live that way, everything changes. This is super powerful because the focus of the interaction has been removed from you and you are now living out there in the world focused on OTHER PEOPLE!
And, this has EVERYTHING to do with you living your purpose!

I'm going to share a secret with you! Until you figure out why you were born, you will always feel as though "something isn't quite right." You will always have an uneasy feeling deep down inside of you. You will always have a niggling feeling that you aren't doing enough or it may even feel like that enough isn't being asked of you.
That sense of unease, feeling like you still have something to give the world is important to listen to. It's important because there is a reason why you are here! Each of us has been given a unique combination of gifts and talents, of interests and desires that no other human being has. When activated, that particular combination has something specific and great to offer the world.
Thomas Edison once wrote, "If we did all the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves." And I believe that the time has come for you to begin astounding yourself. The time has come for you to identify your Life Purpose.
When you get tuned in to your Life Purpose and go after it with everything you have inside of you – without regard to the opinions of others and despite your own personal fears – you will feel more energized than you can ever remember feeling. Your focus will shift from accumulating THINGS to serving OTHER PEOPLE with your unique gifts and talents. You will find that you start becoming a better steward of your time and resources. And that will allow you to complete the task you were put here on earth to complete.
People who are able to fulfill their calling find the highest level of fulfillment in life. These are the people we read about in our history books. These are the people who know what they are all about and what they do best!!
