Shifting From Surviving To Thriving In 2012
What's Your RichLife Goal For 2012?

“Man is where he is that he may learn that he may grow;
and as he learns the lesson which any circumstance contains for him,
it passes away and gives place to other circumstances.”
James Allen, As A Man Thinketh
Who's ready to get their 2012 RichLife thrive on?
I have to admit it – I am completely humbled by the responses that we have been getting to the RichLife Shows we did on New Year's Eve and this past Saturday. The new Year's Eve Show was a big celebration. This past Saturday, my co-host Joy Allgood and I were doubly blessed to be able to share some really powerful RichLife Goals which were sent in by our fabulous readers and listeners and from the comments that have been coming in, everyone listening was equally blessed! Many people, for the very first time, were able to see that it IS possible to shift from surviving to thriving in 2012 and have created RichLife goals that will allow them to do just that!
Here are few of the 2012 RichLife Goals that our friends shared with us:
Pat wrote in – We are taking hold of our finances to have 2012 be an awesome year. We sold our house and we are downsizing so that we will be completely debt-free. I just LOVE the sound of that sentence. Happy New Year!
Pat this is such a great recipe for success – downsizing, getting the expenses down and being DEBT-FREE! Happy New Year to you and yours!
Nancy wrote in – We're still working on our debt this and putting a dent on that. This is the year to sell our small farm and downsize to a place that's about half the size of this and working from home full time is in the works.
We are seeing lots of folks downsizing Nancy and this is HUGE. When you can downsize your expenses it makes a big difference. Alot of people come to us with the goal of making more money. But the fact of the matter is, you don't have to make alot of money if your expenses are low. You can adjust the formula in alot of different ways.
Rhonda wrote in – I saw a sad little movie this week called "Friends With Money" on HBO. Recognized myself in a couple who bickered constantly. Arguing is a poverty mentality. It always comes from feeling something – love, money, attention – is not enough. My RichLife in 2012 will be overflowing with the richness of love, good friends, a loving partner, abundant wealth, inspiring work and a feeling of being filled with all the joy I can hold every day!
I am so proud of you Rhonda. You totally get what living a RichLife is all about! The money is important. But living RICH is alot bigger than that.
Julie wrote in – Love the focus of your show! I've learned over the past year that it really is possible to transform your financial life. I'm a single mom and a graduate student. I have an online business where I work at home full time and I work a day job to pay the bills. I've reduced my debt by 50% the last year. Financially responsible habits were tough to implement at first but have now become a grand adventure. Here's to continued success for us all this year!
BIG CONGRATULATIONS to you Julie! That is huge! You just made a great point. You got rid of 50% of your debt this past year and at first it was very hard. Now you are finding that it's a grand adventure and you are having fun and it's almost a game. That's a whole topic that we've covered on other shows. It's called doing the "Hard Easy". Most people are not willing to do the hard to get to what they want. They are trying to find the easy way to get to what they want and that pretty much ensures failure. You found the answer. You did the hard work and now it's actually fun and you are seeing the results and the progress. Thanks so much for sharing this with all of us!!
Nothing can be more beneficial to the world we live in than for each one of us to share what our RichLife goals are for 2012. It is my absolute passion and mission to help as many people in this world as possible live THEIR RichLife in 2012 and beyond!
Here's the thing though … I can't do this all by myself! I need your help to get the word out about what living a RichLife is all about! YOU can help me get the word out to the world about the RichLife concepts that have helped YOU to live your RichLife! This is why you sharing your goals is so important to me and the rest of the world! You sharing your story blesses you just as much as it blesses the person who hears it and picks up a lesson from it!
When other people hear from you how your life has changed, when they hear how incorporating the Ten RichLife Investments for True Wealth into your life has made a difference for you and your family, they can see the possibilities of a RichLife for themselves! And they will want to learn how to do the same for themselves and for their loved ones! When they hear you sharing what a RichLife In Action really looks like and they see your results – you give them confidence that if you can do it – so can they!
Here is more of what our other RichLife friends had to say:
Lisa wrote in – I listened to Elise's interview on the show and it was fabulous. She truly is a blessing to the world.
Chris wrote in – Thanks for sharing. I especially like how you get personal with your questions and share with us. I was also glad to see Elise there since I saw the videos on YouTube recently!
Lisa and Chris are referring to Elise Adams who was a special guest on the New Year's Eve show. We heard from so many folks that what she shared touched them deeply – even people who aren't going through what she had gone through. Elise could have very easily settled for living a marginal life filled with pain, hopelessness and abuse. However, by taking 100% responsibility for her life, she found her life's mission in the messes of her past. She is now serving others by helping them transform a pain filled past into a fantastic future. Elise and her family are truly living a RichLife now – a life filled with better choices, love, passion and purpose.
Here's a BIG SECRET I want to share with you today! When I started viewing Life more like School, my life and success began to improve dramatically. The “bad” things that happened were no longer a punishment. I was able to look at them as lessons that led me to the next “grade level”. This has become a very productive way for me to view failure.
When something doesn’t go the way you hoped, look at the experience as a road marker or a sign, alerting you to areas that need attention.
You might find yourself directed down a surprisingly different path. Elise Adams' story is a great example of that.
When you view life in this way, no one and no thing is out to get you. The only “punishment” for failure is the necessary experience of repeating the lesson again until you have learned it and move forward!
Just imagine what could happen if you share your RichLife 2012 goals with others! Just imagine the possibilities of what could happen for someone if they learned a life lesson from your story! VERY powerful indeed! So, do the world a favor and share your 2012 goals, your RichLife story, your RichLife lessons, send in your financial questions 🙂 …. Click HERE to send them to our office … We would love to feature your story or question on this week's RichLife Radio show!
The other really big question we received from one of our listeners …
"What Role Does God Play In Our Money?"
More on that in the next newsletter!!
The answer just might surprise you 🙂
The recording of the show is being edited and should be ready by Wednesday!
So, expect to get the answer then if you weren't able to listen to the call on Saturday!
Don't forget to send me your 2012 RichLife Goals and Stories!!
I want to feature you on one of the upcoming RichLife Show broadcasts!!
Great article covering many areas of self-growth…all of course contributing to having a rich life! Thanks for sharing!
Great article and motivating. I too am on the quest to get out of debt. Although we cannot sell and move, we are doing things as cutting out unnecessary expenditures. We have always tried to live by this mandate, and it truly is the rich life!
This was a really inspiring piece, Beau! Thank you for reminding me that the attitude makes the person, and offering some many strong recommendations for getting a RichLife attitude!
What an inspiration this article has been! My husband and I are also working towards getting out of debt! I think I may need to read your book Beau! It sounds great! I can't wait to read next week's article!
I love the suggestion of looking at life like school! Great article Beau!
My favorite testimonial: Rhonda wrote in – I saw a sad little movie this week called "Friends With Money" on HBO. Recognized myself in a couple who bickered constantly.Arguing is a poverty mentality. It always comes from feeling something – love, money, attention – is not enough. My RichLife in 2012 will be overflowing with the richness of love, good friends, a loving partner, abundant wealth, inspiring work and a feeling of being filled with all the joy I can hold every day!
A fabulous perspective!
Thriving!! Getting out of the poverty mindset!! Amen to those!! I always thought it wasn't about how much money you MADE but how much you had LEFT OVER after your expenses, that was important!! I can see by your client's remarks that is what you teach. So many people need to know this.
Great and informative article Beau! Fortunately, I am out of debt and 2012 will be the year to concentrate on putting away savings for the future! I too am heading to a rich life! Looking forward to your next article!
Can't wait to read more about GOd and money. I was just over on Elise's site and read her story and shared with her that I too had the same issues all around my mindset around money. I thought I was at this glass ceiling on my income and BELIEVED that I couldn't make any more and was always feeling behind financially. When I broke past that mindset alot has changed and I am making more money than before!
Very encouraging article! I enjoyed reading what everyone is planning to do in 2012!
These are inspiring stories.
My wife and I have made goals to get our finances in order. It has been 5-yr. in coming, but this is a personal and business goal for our family and businesses.
These are great ideas for all business owners to start focusing on.
Thanks for doing what you do,
AJ
Loved this article, Beau! It's definitely time for me to get your book and add it to my reading list. My mindset around money certainly needs improvement in 2012. And I can't wait for your next article on God and Money. Great stuff!
Great article. We've cut many expenses and are leading a richer life because of it!!
I love the concept of looking at life like a school and learning the lessons from it. whilst I've never looked at in specifically in those terms that is certainly how I treat it now and yes, it has made a big difference. Thank you!
This is getting better and better Beau ~ love those rich life stories and I like to hear about the success of your Shows too! 2012 is going to be great and rich! 🙂
Wonderful post! I also listened in to your interview of Elise…I was touched and truly inspired…Love your show:)
Talk about the testimonies and your responses. Wow. Way to go Beau!!
Aw yes living rich is about so much more than money – and I also love the idea of viewing life as a student and not a victim! Beautiful post.
"When something doesn’t go the way you hoped, look at the experience as a road marker or a sign, alerting you to areas that need attention." This statement really jumped out at me. I recently have experienced just this and it has led me to draw even closer to my true dream and goal. It has been refining….not necessarily easy but definetly wonderful!
